The Emperor and the Nightingale
Northeast Atlanta Ballet presents The Emperor and the Nightingale at Gas South Theater on May 17 and 18, 2025. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairytale, this enchanting ballet unfolds in the Emperor’s ancient palace, where dancers with painted fans and parasols bring to life a magical world. The story follows a Princess transformed into a Nightingale by an evil Sorceress, while a mechanical Golden Nightingale distracts the Emperor. Ultimately, only the heartfelt song of the true Nightingale can heal the Emperor’s broken heart, making this production a moving celebration of love, devotion, and the power of music

Dad joke of the week
What do you call a boomerang that won't come back? A stick.
Not conservative. Not liberal. Just Christian.
